Core Functions of Guides
Guiding: Accurately introduce the heated billet or the rolled piece to be rolled into the pass of the roll (the groove on the roll, which is used to shape the steel), avoiding rolling failure caused by the deviation of the rolled piece.
Correction: Before the rolled piece enters the roll, correct its irregular forms such as bending and torsion to ensure that the posture of the rolled piece meets the rolling requirements.
Stabilization: Restrain the movement of the rolled piece during the rolling process, prevent it from shaking and bouncing due to uneven stress, and ensure the continuous and stable rolling process.
Protection: Avoid direct collision or friction between the rolled piece and other parts of the rolling mill, reduce equipment wear (such as roll scratches), and prolong the service life of the rolling mill.
